The hot topic of the business world is AI.  Today when I was reading the paper there was a story about an AI-based snow melt system for the winter.  The vendor added a camera, a small solar panel, and a control box with Bluetooth to upgrade existing snow melt systems with AI. The customer is said to have an 80% decrease in the amount of electricity that is used to keep ice from forming on the roof. 

In talking to the company that is selling the system, we identified AI skills that were on the staff that developed that system.  We that information in hand, we then looked at the open requisitions for IT professionals and identified the 10 most in-demand AI skills.

• ChatGPT – the one AI skill that over 60% of all open requisitions mentioned. Since its launch in November of 2022, ChatGPT has been implemented by the greatest number of organizations. As a result, companies are recruiting IT professionals who have the skills to help them with using ChatGPT for content generation, task automation and scripting, translation, on-demand learning, technical support and troubleshooting, editing and proofreading, idea generation, calendar scheduling and management, and more.
