IT Unemployment Prospects Improve
Janco reports that the prospects for new jobs for IT pros improve. However, recent graduates are finding it difficult to find “first-job” positions.
With the passage of the new budget bill, CFOs and CIOs are more optimistic and are starting to look forward to working on new technology initiatives. The unemployment rate for IT Professionals is now 4.0%, down from 4.6% last month. The number of unemployed IT Pros is at 143,000, and the number of open IT positions is just under 160,000.
